- South Liverpool Personnel (SLP).
SLP are currently recruiting for the 5-7,000 new jobs that are being created in the city of Liverpool over the next 18 months. They are offering a FREE 9-day training programme. The training includes: a minimum of 2 nationally recognised qualifications in IT and First Aid. There will also be a certificate in Food Hygiene available; A certified course of skills development that has been requested by employers; and an opportunity to gain an adult education certificate in Maths and English.
- Fire and Rescue Service Youth Engagement Programme.
Are you aged 16-25, unemployed and looking for a challenge and an opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications? The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are running a 12 week programme that will lead to a City and Guilds Certificate in Personal, Teamwork and Community Skills, and the opportunity to gain key skills level 1 or 2 with St. Helens College. The 12 week course involves an activity week in Wales, helping your local community on various projects and taking part in work placements to build your skills and work towards a qualification. 16-18 year olds are entitled to claim EMA whilst on the programme.
- Fusion 21 Construction Placement.
This is a training/placement opportunity that guarantees a placement within the construction industry. To apply you need to be a Merseyside resident, unemployed or employed, and there are no age restrictions. Experience isn’t necessary, but you will be required to show that you will be commited to the programme. The recruitment process involves us sending your CV to the Project Co-ordinators after which you will be required to attend a recruitment event and CITB assessment. You will be invited to interview and if you are then successful you will be employed on the National Minimum Wage on a 3 week placement. After the placement you may be employed by the contractor and given support towards tools and PPE. You will also work towards the relevant NVQ in order to work towards permanent employment. Closing date isn’t fixed but the application forms will be distributed towards the end of February.
